Lon Chaney, Jr. - looking like the old drunk he was - tries to save his ship from a speculator by helping to recover some buried treasure. John Bromfield and Victor Jory would rather confiscate the loot for their own devices, so Lon has to figure something out fast. Fortunately for our villains, Lon is too stupid to be any kind of threat. Boring island adventure with Calypso musical interludes sprinkled about, but it is actually interesting to see how the Caribbean looked in the 1950's.
For Lee Wilder fans, of which I am one. I didn't dislike the film as much as I intimated, but I gave you my 'critical' opinion. My 'personal' opinion: I like this movie.
